A velvet touch upon my skin electrifies
Everything within, and I let the feeling win.
Why should I fight and waste my might
On a moment of pleasure and a weakness so slight?
It's not like it matters either way.
It's just another day and there's nothing anyone can say.
This is the way I choose to stay.
And my dear, you're just another one who gets to hear
My speech on fear and remaining here for another year.
This state of mind - it never fades, it always stays.
And what's wrong with that?
Why change the thoughts in my head; just to wear the same old hat?
I'm sure you'll cry and scream and sigh and ask me, "Why?"
So I'll give it my all and try not to lie.
Why I do this; why I don't miss any one lover after the last kiss:
This sort of pain is the lightest I've felt.
These sorts of cards are the easiest ever dealt.
A single touch can make me melt
Without any consequence beyond a stinging welt.
So I hide from my frailty and lose touch with reality
By burying myself in senseless acts of sensuality.
It's the easiest way for me to be free
But I know that isn't fair, so don't you ever dare assume that I don't care.
Any pain upon another's face is somehow too much for me to bear.
So I'll let you go - force you to go - and you'll never know
That for a single, breathless moment, you kept me from the status quo.

lol. my mother's likely to have a heart attack when she finds out i was walking a half past 1 in the morning, in the pouring rain, when it was 44 degrees outside. ^_^
let alone stuff like this. but i don't do this sort of thing, so it's good.
